I've been reading a recent study where women were asked why they decided to get breast implants, and I don't think it will be any surprise that the number one reason was to increase self confidence.
But then I got to thinking... did it work?! So I dug a little deeper and found quite a few studies showing real-life answers from post-op women, and I thought you might enjoy hearing about what I found.
The results are in... I’m happy to tell you that numerous studies have shown that having a breast augmentation causes women’s confidence to soar. (Maybe that’s why the Australian Navy reportedly pays for female members to get breast implants!) We all know that when our confidence is high, we’re more comfortable out in the world. We naturally assert ourselves and have more courage when we feel great about how we look.
And it doesn’t stop there… Post-surgery, many women find some unexpected joys associated with their new additions. For starters, bathing suit and dress shopping just got a whole lot more fun! (Can I get an amen?)
Women even report having less emotional stress after breast augmentation. Perhaps they are releasing some of this stress in the bedroom… an online survey conducted by Realself.com found 61% of women have more sex after breast surgery, and 70% reported a heightened sense of enjoyment during intimacy!
I don’t know about you… but whether it’s been in the dressing room or in the bedroom, I've really enjoyed the boost to my overall confidence. I've just felt so much more at home in my own skin since the procedure, and I sincerely hope your experience has been the same.
