As some of you may know, I am pregnant! My husband and I have been married almost 8 years and decided that if we’re gonna do it, it’s time to take the plunge! Since I got breast implants before having kids, I felt I should give a “boobie update” on my breast changes throughout pregnancy :-)
During my first trimester, I experienced very, very, very tender breasts.
I hear this is pretty common for any woman during pregnancy since your hormones are going crazy. But I'm not kidding... even putting on a bra was a new adventure in pain. It wasn't the best news for my husband, either — but honestly, since I was SO tired all the time, I was typically sleeping or falling asleep whenever we saw each other... so there wasn't much action going on to begin with. Thankfully, I'm currently in my second trimester, and have had way more energy. Action has resumed.
My breasts also started to get swollen on the sides and a little at the top. I've always wanted to go bigger, so it's like I'm getting to try on 550cc's without having plastic surgery.
So, no complaints there!
I also noticed my nipples were getting hard more frequently at the drop of hat. I was NOT expecting that; but again, no complaints.
I'm really hoping that I am able to breastfeed. After having two prior breast surgeries (a reduction when I was 18 and breast implants when I was 25), I realize that it's possible I won't be able to.
Any way, as for everything else, my breasts are still in the same place on my chest, no dropping or sagging yet. (fingers crossed) From what I’ve read from other women, their breasts either looked the same post baby, or they look a bit more natural. But thankfully I haven’t read that anyone was devastated with their breast implants after their baby came!
If anything, I can always get a revision post baby, but so far I don’t see that being an issue! :-)
