Have you ever had the opportunity to meet someone and you walk away feeling so thankful that you did? Justine Moore has definitely been one of those for me!
On top of being a Fitness and Nutrition Coach, Justine is also an NPC Judge, published author, and fitness model. She has a wonderful heart and passion for helping other women reach their goals, and I couldn't be more excited to share this interview with you!
Jenny Eden: You tell a little bit of your story on your website and said that your diet in college mainly consisted of "candy, Pop Tarts, pizza, diet soda, alcohol and sugary coffee drinks." Obviously things are much different for you now, so talk about what brought about that dramatic change.
Justine Moore: Growing up I was overweight as a child, so I struggled with my weight and body image throughout my teens and early 20’s. Finally when I started working the front desk at a gym during college I began to learn about proper nutrition and strength training... and that’s when it all clicked.
Finally I knew a healthy way to get the body I wanted!
Jenny: All of us have people in our lives who we look to on a consistent basis for encouragement and inspiration. Who are some of those people for you and what do they do that keeps you motivated?
Justine: Without a doubt my Mom and Dad. This journey has not always been an easy one, and I definitely did not choose a traditional lifestyle OR career path! But my parents have stood by me for encouragement every step of the way. I would not be where I am today without their unconditional support.
Jenny: Ok, let's be honest. Your body is AMAZING, and you've got some great resources to help women like me and those reading this interview. What would you recommend for someone who's ready to take the next step in taking their health to the next level?
Justine: Thank you so much. I want women to know that my physique is NOT the product of great genes, or luck. It is hard work and dedication that created the body I am proud to live in today!! And trust me, if I can do it, anyone can! Today I love helping others reach their personal fitness goals through a healthy, balanced lifestyle-approach. I work with clients all over the world through customized training programs and meal plans, available directly through my website: www.JustineFit.com/training.
Jenny: Many of the women who will be reading this interview are in the process of considering a breast augmentation. What advice would do you have them as they continue on their journey?
Justine: Do your research, talk to other women who have had a breast augmentation, and be SURE to find a doctor you feel 100% comfortable with. Deciding to get a breast augmentation is a pretty big decision for many women.
I had considered a breast augmentation for a few years before taking the plunge. I was very self conscious about my breasts, and once I started competing and reached a lower body fat percentage, I really had nothing left! I have a curvy body and wide hips, so having the breast augmentation surgery has made me feel SO much more balanced and proportional. I honestly did not realize how much it would impact my self-esteem in a positive way...
But it truly has made a huge difference.
It is really one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, and I am 100% happy with my decision in every way.
Thoughts from Dr. Jeremy PyleHow to make sure your surgery doesn't change the importance of fitness in your life is an important part of the consult decision. There are a lot of details and each is particular to you.
It may be that breast augmentation is going to cause a negative effect in your lifestyle, or it may mean that you tolerate a few nuisance factors to get a look close to what you want but without impacting your lifestyle. Justine did a great job of making these decisions.
