Jenny Eden: This is a guest post from my friend Janis, who has been gracious enough to share a little bit of her story with all of us. Thank you, Janis!!
I wanted breast implants since I was about 15. I was a very small 32B but also very thin as a young person, and I've just always liked the full voluptuous look. When I was pregnant for the first time, I grew to a 36C and then DD while nursing.
I loved it!
Over a span of 12 years, I've had a total of 5 babies and nursed for a combined total of 10 years. Every time I weaned, I lost all my volume, and when I lost the baby fat, I got even flatter. The breast actually didn't decrease in size, but completely flattened out.
I just couldn't see going through the rest of my life looking like that! And finally, after we knew we were done having babies, I decided it was the perfect time!
I'm currently only 2 weeks out, but I love the way I look in clothes!
No more padding!!!
Before my breast augmentation, I was a 36 deflated C (not professionally sized, so I may have technically been a 34 deflated D). I got 800ccs Allergan Natrelle Silicone Ultra High Profile overs with an infra-mammary crease.
Currently I am a 34J according to the correct way to measure your bra size, and I can fit into a 36DDD at Victoria's Secret—although the inner wire cuts into my breast because of so much cleavage :-)
I'm still on the hunt for the perfect bra.
I am 5'6 and 145 lbs, I wear a size 6. Honestly, with clothes on my boobs do not look big at all. Very natural! No one has even guessed I've had a BA. Naked or in a bikini or lingerie they do look quite big, so it's a great balance.
When it comes to challenges, it was tough to communicate my desired look with my plastic surgeon and getting the look I wanted. I knew I was a special case because I didn't want a lift, which would require going over the muscle and I wanted large breast implants.
And since having my breast augmentation, it's been difficult finding the right bras. Right now, my incisions under the breast are healing and get irritated and tender when anything rubs against them. Also, I need to find the correct size because it's difficult to find something that fits well and gives the right amount of support.
As I think about the most helpful things during my breast augmentation, I LOVED Eden's daily email series and also all of the articles. I read everything on this site, and it helped so much understanding the process and what to expect afterwards.
I also used Eden's Recovery Kit and all of the products are wonderful!
