How Should We React to the Haters?

When you have breast implants, there's a good chance that you'll eventually run into someone who has nothing better to do with their life than criticize yours. They could show up in the form of a nasty email, passive aggressive Twitter post, or critical Instagram comments.

I've noticed that it's very rarely something that happens face to face, because that would require courage.

So what are we supposed to do when the judgement is being digitally dished out over our personal decision? I think there are two important rules for us.

Rule Number One

The more energy we give away, the more powerful they become. So as hard as it might be, let's ignore them. Publicly acknowledging their insecure existence will only give them a larger, louder platform.

Rule Number Two

Give them grace. I know that sounds crazy, but allowing their ignorance to upset us will only hurt... us. It's just not worth it.

Thoughts from Dr. Ben Wood

These are great rules to live by in general, and when it comes to having an augmentation, just like you've said throughout your series, I think the key is to remember that you're doing it for yourself and that's the most important thing.
