I don’t want you to freak out by what I’m about to say. So take a deep breath before you read this:
There is a real possibility of getting permanent scars or stretchmarks on your breasts after getting implants.
I’m not telling you this to scare you, but to make sure that you’re completely prepared for any possible outcome. In my experience, a lot of women go wrong because they fail to plan ahead.
The good news is that there are great ways to prevent them.
Before we talk about prevention, let’s take a look at the two most common types of scarring after a breast augmentation.
Any woman who’s done her research will probably tremble at these the word "keloid," so here goes…
Keloid scarring is where raised nodules develop at the incision site. After your body goes through breast implant surgery, the skin and tissue cells begin to multiply to heal the wound site.
If the scar becomes keloid, the cells keep multiplying even after the wound is closed, which forms a raised, “puffy” mound of scar tissue. :-(
While the appearance of hypertrophic scarring is similar to that of keloid scarring; hypertrophic scars are much smaller and paler in appearance. This type of scarring is more common than keloid scars, but still undesirable.
Since every woman’s body is different, it can be hard to predict if you’ll get stretch marks from getting breast implants. Some women are more predisposed to them than others, like during pregnancy, so you need to accept the possibility that you will.
That’s why it’s so important that you actively prepare yourself to reduce the chances of this happening and give your breasts everything they need to prepare properly for breast augmentation surgery and heal beautifully afterwards.
Minimizing Scars and Prevent Stretchmarks
You might not know this about me, but I had a breast surgery when I was 18 and developed some really bad keloid scars. I lived with them for years (and hated them), but I had to accept them.
After having my first breast augmentation, I really wasn't happy with the products that were on the market so I decided to create my own in order to prevent my new incisions from forming bad scars and stretchmarks.
After using my Boobie Butter and Scar Salve for several months, not only were my new incision sites nearly invisible—but so were my old ones!
So, don’t be afraid of scarring and stretchmarks. Be prepared.
By being proactive, you can ensure that you'll see the most beautiful reflection staring back at you when you look in the mirror after your breast augmentation :-)
