You’ve decided to get a breast augmentation! Maybe you’re awaiting your consultation or you’ve already set your procedure date, but the waiting… the waiting is the hard part.
So I’ve put together a little bucket list to check off on your road towards a breast augmentation. This is certainly not a list of things that you MUST do beforehand, but if you're trying to enjoy the wait, why not check a few of these off?
Take a Before Pic
While you might not be very excited about your pre-op breasts, there will be a day when you want to compare your before and after pictures. You will only be able to do that if you remembered to take the before pic.
Either ask someone to take them for you or have a good old fashion selfie session in the bathroom mirror. Don’t forget to do a few with a bathing suit or sports bra on so that you can share them with friends who you might not want to bare it all to.
Enjoy Your Upper Body Workout
It’s not like you’ll never be able to do a push up again, but it might be a while. Easing yourself back into your normal workout routine could take a few months.
If your ideal figure includes some well defined shoulders or arms, you might want to hit the pull up bar now.
Write About It
I’ve shared before that I think journaling is a great way to keep track of your journey, but it’s also a great way to pass the time.
If you feel inclined to share your experience with others, hitting me up about a guest post could be therapeutic for you and inspirational for other women. It may also lead to connections with people going through similar experiences!
You know good and well that after your new additions are here, you won’t be able to keep yourself from shopping. Every padded bra and once modestly flattering bathing suit will be on it’s way to the donation pile.
Put some money and excitement toward a well planned shopping trip to buy the kind of tops and lingerie you’ve always wanted to wear.
Overall, try to enjoy the wait. Just like waiting for dinner at your favorite restaurant to come to the table, the anticipation is fun! Don’t forget to enjoy it. :-)
