Your relationship with your breasts is a lot like any other relationship.
In fact, I've come to realize that how you feel about your breasts is a lot like a romantic relationship! (Stick with me here)
Here's how I think they're similar...
A relationship is, to some degree, about aesthetics. Don't you find your significant other physically attractive?
It's also about whether you can love that person for who they are on the inside. That is the sign of a good relationship.
If you have a bad relationship with your breasts, not only do you not like them but you also don't love them, or accept them for how they are.
You have a bad breast relationship.
You might have been in a bad relationship before and thought about how to make it better, or even to walk away from it. Considering how to address a lack of love for your breasts by considering plastic surgery is similar!
Once you've decided to make a change in your relationship with your breasts you start your Boobie Journey and you figure out what you do want. The early research/find your plastic surgeon stage is a bit like dating!
Lots of choices and finding the right fit for you.
A Surgical Commitment
So, you find your plastic surgeon and you pick your perfect breast implants, now you're entering the commitment phase of your new relationship with your breasts.
Like any big step in a relationship there's lots of planning and even the occasional doubt and moment of uncertainty. Then, you take the plunge!
Your recovery is the bit where you either find the elusive love at first sight or have the kind of slow burner journey to love your new breasts.
Ok, so I've had two surgeries but both times I can hand on heart say I woke up and was instantly in love with my new breasts. This isn't that rare but it's more normal for you to learn to love your new breasts in a slower courtship, where you grow together and learn to love them day by day.
Learn To Love Again
Any new relationship is a process of learning to love again. And no relationship is ever perfect! There may be times of doubt and uncertainty, and obstacles you have to work through (boobie blues, boob greed).
Ultimately, if you find yourself in the kind of relationship you've always dreamed of your new breasts, and your relationship with them, can lift you up.
A positive breast relationship can give you more confidence, and not just with your body... in others areas of your life too!
If you find your dream breasts (and the dream isn't about perfection... it's also about acceptance of what can be achieved... again, just like a real relationship!) then you've found it... your soul mate(s) :-)
