Overbust Jacquard Corset by Ivy Shi

You know the problem with corsets? The cost. Did you know that a nice 100% steel-boned corset is around $300–$500?!? With price tags like that, how in the world are we supposed figure out if we would even enjoy wearing one in the first place?

For me, making the decision was a lot like buying a juicer. Here’s what I mean…

A few years ago, I decided that I wanted to start juicing, so I began looking at the different juicers on the market. The cheapest one I found was a Breville Juice Fountain Plus for around $129, and the most expensive one was the Norwalk 280 for $2,500. That’s a big difference.

As you can imagine, the Norwalk is superior on every level to the Breville, but it would have been foolish for me to spend $2,500 without even knowing if I was going to enjoy juicing.

Buying a corset poses the same dilemma, which is why I recommend this one by Ivy Shi.

This is the Juice Fountain Plus of corsets. It’s not 100% steel-boned, and it can’t be used for waist training. But it’s definitely not a piece of junk, it definitely makes the girls look great, and it’s definitely not $500. In fact it’s currently only $15 on Amazon.

Not a typo.

It’s the perfect entry-level option that will allow you find out if you even like wearing a corset to begin with.

I’ve got one of these in blue, and I wear it once or twice a year (typically on a date night). Even though I probably won’t ever end up buying a really expensive one, I’m really glad I decided to get one 🙂
