Cody Lawyer’s Story: Being A Personal Trainer With Breast Implants

I know many women who workout, and are athletic, contemplate getting breast augmentation. The reality is we workout to feel confident and happy with our bodies and sometimes it does the exact opposite. This was the case for me anyways.

Before I go any further I would like to introduce myself and give you a little history about me. My name is Cody, I am 33 years old. I am a gym owner/personal trainer/wife/ and mom to four beautiful kids ages 15, 13, 4, and 2. I started weight training about seven years ago, prior to that I ran half marathons.

Growing up I was always larger chested. As a freshman in high school I was a D cup, and as I went on to have babies my breastfeeding boobs went to a whopping 34G Cup!

I noticed with each baby the elasticity in my skin didn’t quite bounce back like it had before. Breast augmentation was something I had always told my husband I wanted to get as soon as I was done having children.

After the births of my first and second children my breast always remained a full D cup. At the time I didn’t really workout consistently and even though I wasn’t overweight my body fat was higher. This obviously helped my breast stay big and full.

Fast forward about 8 years, I had gone through a divorce and was now remarried. My husband was a personal trainer and bodybuilder. This was when I got serious about training and transforming my body.

One year after my third baby I stepped on stage to compete in a bodybuilding competition. I placed 4th in the Figure Division. This was a huge accomplishment for me. I had never in my life been in this conditioning.

I should have been confident and proud of my body right? I was lean and tone with zero cellulite on my body, but when I started dieting and training the very first area I lost was my breast. I was barely an A Cup!

This was a mind screw for me, I couldn’t even dress in front of my husband without covering up as quickly as possible. We knew we wanted one more baby so breast augmentation would have to wait.
After delivering my fourth baby I breastfed him for a full year. I had some complications recovering, my thyroid decided to go all crazy on me and I had surgery to get my tubes tied and the novasure ablation.

So after the first year I was able to focus on myself again and start working out consistently. Body fat started melting off so of course my boobs were melting away too. I had been saving money and contacted several doctors for consultations.

I chose Dr Robert Meger out of Scottsdale Arizona. I can’t say enough about Dr. Meger and his staff. He is truly an amazing doctor.

I first met with Dr. Meger about 8 years ago, I was 25 years old with two children. After speaking with him we decided to hold off on getting implants until after I was done having kids. Fast forward to 2016, age 32, with four children. It was time.

I knew I needed a breast lift and wanted silicone implants. Since it had been so long i decided to “shop around” to find the doctor right for me. I had consults with several different doctors getting prices ranging from $10-14k. For me price was never an issue, as I felt quality is what matters most.

I was always extremely happy with Dr. Meger’s before/after photos so I came back to him for a consult. Guess what!? I was shocked to find out his price was way LESS than any other doctors I had met with! I knew he was the one.

Surgery day March 21st 2016. — What size? What size?! We met for our pre-op consult and discussed exactly what I wanted. I showed him a few “inspiration” pictures and my final words to him was “I want big, full, but proportional to my body… I trust you to make the call”. He said “ok we’ll decide once we get in there”.

He and his staff chose perfectly! They are exactly how I’d imagined them being. They went with 600cc and 640cc silicone implants (one side was a little bigger from breast feeding).

I am almost a year post op and I am completely happy with my results!
Stay tuned for my next blog where I discuss exercise and weight training after breast augmentation!
My stats are:
Height – 5’1″
Weight- before surgery 105lbs, after 118lbs
Bra Size- Before 34B, After- 32E or 34DDD
