I’m so excited to tell you about my brand new Boobie Bath, one of six products you will find in my All-Natural Recovery Kit. When preparing for and healing from your breast augmentation—it’s light years beyond any other soap on the market!
A Quick Overview
Boobie Bath is a high-lather, 100% handmade and organically-sourced soap that was created for the days leading up to, and those immediately after your procedure. It is fragrance-free, toxin-free, naturally antimicrobial, and includes a powerful healing blend of Arnica Montana, Calendula and St. John’s Wort infused oils!
Ingredients: Aqua (Reverse Osmosis Filtered Water), Raw Coconut Oil*, Potassium Hydroxide**, Olive Oil*, Hemp Oil*, Jojoba Oil*, Eden’s Handmade Healing Oil (Jojoba Oil*, Arnica Montana Oil*, Calendula Oil*, St. John’s Wort Oil*), Citric Acid (Vitamin C), Tocopherol (Vitamin E)

For the morning of my procedure, my surgeon told me to use some sort of antimicrobial soap. When I started asking about my options, the top recommendations were brands like Dial and Hibiclens.
But due to main ingredients like Triclocarban (an endocrine and hormonal disruptor) and Chlorhexidine Gluconate (a chemical used in pesticides and prescription-only mouthwashes), I knew that I could make a much better option myself… better for my overall health and for my recovery.
Important Note: I always try to make sure to clarify that I’m not at all against the one-time use of antibiotics or antibacterial products in the context of a hospital or surgery. But for at-home use, there are dozens of proven, all-natural alternatives that are much safer and more gentle on our bodies.
Beginning with a Castile Base
And so the quest to create Boobie Bath began! The obvious place to start was with a pure castile base. Castile soap is genuinely ecological and made from pure vegetable oils like olive, jojoba, and coconut oil. It’s extremely gentle on the skin, and retains all of the moisturizing glycerin that is chemically removed from commercial soaps.
Fun fact! Castile soap gets it’s name from the Castile region of Spain where they first created 100% vegetable-based soaps.
Castile soaps also don’t include any the harsh detergents and toxic additives found in most soaps like Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Methyl Ether, and Gluconolactone. Yuck!
Adding Healing Oils
While it’s wonderful for everyday use, I knew that the castile soap would need a little something extra to 1) help prepare my breasts for my augmentation and 2) help them heal after the procedure. So I began creating my very own handmade infused healing oil to add to the soap.
If you aren’t familiar with infused healing oils, they are wonderful.
By soaking dried flowers in oil, all of the therapeutic and medicinal properties are drawn out of the flowers into the oil. If you’ve heard of “oil pulling” it’s the exact same principle. I like to make mine the old-fashioned way by placing my Mason jars in the windowsill for 6 to 8 weeks. 🙂
Here’s a quick run down of the four ingredients I chose for my healing oil.
Jojoba oil is very similar to your skin’s natural oils and the perfect choice for a breast augmentation. First off, it’s naturally antimicrobial—just like your surgeon will want. And it’s also anti-inflammatory and moisturizing—just like you will want!
The oil extracted from Arnica Montana has been shown to help reduce pain, inflammation and bruising after your procedure. Since Arnica does not have an immediate effect, you should begin using Boobie Bath several days before your procedure.
The oil of St. John’s Wort has been shown to accelerate the healing of skin injuries and reduce damaged nerve pain. It’s also thought to have much needed natural anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects after a breast augmentation.
Calendula oil has been tested in multiple clinical trials and proven to have numerous benefits including wound healing, moisture replenishment, and increased skin elasticity.
How To Use It
You will begin washing your breasts with Boobie Bath 7 days before your procedure, and I want you to do this twice a day so that your skin has plenty of time to absorb all the nutrients and medicinal properties of the infused oil.
